Incoterms are standard trade terms that define who's responsible for costs, risk, and paperwork at each stage of a shipment. Here are the ones we work with most often:
- EXW – Ex Works
- The buyer takes on nearly all responsibility once goods are collected from the seller's premises.
- FOB – Free On Board
- The seller delivers goods on board the vessel; risk transfers to the buyer once loaded.
- CIF – Cost, Insurance & Freight
- The seller covers cost, insurance, and freight to the destination port.
- DAP – Delivered At Place
- The seller delivers to a named destination, ready for unloading by the buyer.
- DDP – Delivered Duty Paid
- The seller handles everything, including import duties, up to the buyer's door.
